How it works
STEP 1
Month 1

Choose the areas to be evaluated

You tell us which areas you would like to be evaluated, or we can choose them together. This can be potential ‘problem’ areas, or places where the infrastructure has recently been improved.
STEP 2
Month 2

We map your cycling infrastructure with Computer Vision technology

We scan your chosen areas using bike-mounted AI Computer Vision technology, recording everything from cycle lane width and road surface quality to air quality.
STEP 3
Months 3-4

We process & analyse the data collected

After gathering the data, we aggregate it and cross it with other data sources, such as shared mobility travel routes and connected car data. Then, we calculate 50+ metrics on the state of your cycling infrastructure with concrete recommendations on how to make improvements.
STEP 4
Months 5-11

You prioritise improvements based on recommendations

With your new metrics and recommendations, you will be able to prioritise infrastructure projects based on which ones are most urgent, or have the most potential to affect positive change. The data collected will help you lobby for the funding required to take action.
STEP 5
Months 12-18

Repeat and measure

We repeat the steps above to give you a before and after view of the state of the infrastructure, to calculate the ROI of your infrastructure improvements. Your data is available to view in the City Dive dashboard at any time.
